BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Ralph Fitch, Executive Chairman & Director

Mr. Fitch is an exploration geologist with over 40 years of international exploration management and field experience. He is one of the co-founders of South American Silver Corp. Prior to South American Silver he was a co-founder of General Minerals and held positions included Chief Geologist and Manager of U.S. Exploration for the Chevron Minerals Group. His extensive exploration experience includes work in South America, Australia, West Africa, South Africa and the United States. Mr. Fitch is credited with a number of major international discoveries and was awarded the Chevron Chairman's Award for his part in the discovery of the Ujina deposit at the Collahuasi copper porphyry project in Chile. Earlier in his career he was involved in the discovery at the Bend and Horseshoe deposits in Wisconsin, the Henkries uranium deposit in South Africa, the Coppins Gap copper deposit in West Australia, and the Pah-My-Yah diamond field in Liberia.

Antonio Canton, Director

Mr. Canton is an independent consultant for international companies in marketing, finance and real estate. As a director of a number of Swiss companies, he brings to the Board extensive experience in accounting and finance.

Paul Haber, Director

Mr. Paul Haber is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant with a strong background in US/Canadian accounting and finance. He is presently managing the private company Haber & Co. Ltd. Prior to March of 2007, he was Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary of a TSX Venture Exchange listed company. He is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee for South American Silver Corp.

Peter Harris, Director

Mr. Harris is a mining engineer with over 40 years of industry experience in development, construction, and operation of large scale mines. His experience includes his role as Senior VP and Chief Operating Officer at Nova Gold Resources Inc., and Senior VP of Project Development at Barrick Gold (Placer Dome). He has been involved in the construction and operation of over 20 different mines in North and South America, Africa, Australia and Papua New Guinea.

Roman Mironchik, Director

Mr. Roman Mironchik is a Managing Director of Izurium Capital, a London based private equity firm. Prior to Izurium, he worked on European TMT transactions in the London office of Francisco Partners, a leading US-based private equity fund. Before moving to Francisco Partners, Mr. Mironchik worked on direct equity investments and structured lending for RP Capital Group, a London based hedge fund. Mr. Mironchik started his career with Merrill Lynch's London Investment Banking division, where he was involved in the execution of various M&A and financing transactions. Mr. Mironchik graduated with a First Class Honours degree in BSc Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Paul Sheehan, Director

Mr. Sheehan brings a background focused on international finance and was the CEO and a founder of Thaddeus Capital Limited, a Hong Kong–based hedge fund.  He was also previously associated with ING Bank NV in Hong Kong and with Lehman Brothers Asia where he was a Vice President and co-head of Asian bank research. Mr. Sheehan has been both an investor and lender in multi-commodity resource projects throughout Asia, Africa and South America. Mr. Sheehan’s education includes a BA in economics from the University of Albany, State University of New York, and a Masters Degree in Public and Private Management from the Yale School of Management.  He also completed course work in Financial Risk Management at New York University.

Muqit Teja, Director

Mr. Teja brings a background focused on international finance and advisory services to the exploration and mining industry, with a primary focus on precious metals. He was a founder of London-based Zamadini Advisors Ltd. where his geographic focus has traditionally been in East Africa. Mr. Teja's early education was in Kenya and he completed his education with a B.Sc. degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.

Tina Woodside, Director

Ms. Woodside is a partner with the Canadian law firm Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP (formerly Smith Lyons LLP) with over 20 years experience advising Canadian and foreign companies involved in the mining sector on a wide range of matters including public offerings and mergers and acquisitions. She has her B.A. and LL.B from Queen's University, is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors/Rotman School of Business Directors' Education Program and has been awarded the designation "ICD.D" (certified director).
